Indraprastha Gas has increased CNG prices by Rs 1.55 per kg in Delhi and Rs 1.80 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad, effective from Friday midnight. The company has attributed the hike to increase in input costs and taxes.

The new price of CNG will be Rs 39.90 per kg in Delhi, while it will be Rs 45.10 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad.

“We have been demanding auto fare revision since June 2010. If the government does not act now, we will have no choice but to go on indefinite strike,” said Rajendra Soni, spokesperson, Bhartiya Tipahiya Chalak Sangh, one of the biggest autorickshaw unions in the Capital.
