Thursday turned out to be sweaty for Delhi as the maximum temperatures in the city soared up to 36.1 degree Celsius, which the weathermen said was quite normal for this time of the year.
The minimum temperature was recorded as 22.4 degrees Celsius, that is two degrees above normal.
However, there were hopes of a reprieve soon too with the weathermen stating that the city is likely to experience light rain or thundershowers on Sunday and Tuesday due to local conditions.
The experts, however, warned that no significant change in temperatures might occur after these light rains.
According to the weatherman, the temperature is expected to be between 37 and 21 degrees on Friday. It could rise to 38 degrees on Saturday. The sky, however, will remain clear for much of the day.
The temperature are expected to be in the high 30s for most of the month, though there are chances of the temperature climbing to 40 degrees towards the last week of April.
