The hard work paid them well at last. The good scores in Class 12 results is the passport for most of the toppers to get admission in prestigious colleges in University of Delhi.
Navya Singla, all India topper in Commerce stream, wants to pursue B Com or Economics (Honours) from St Stephen’s or Lady Shri Ram College for Women, DU. A student of Bhavan's Devraj Aggarwal Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Chandigarh, Navya’s success mantra is to study regularly. She scored 98% in aggregate.
Same goes in case of Namita and Vishakha Gupta, commerce toppers among Delhi government schools and Himanshi Khatri. While Namisha and Vishakha aspires to study Economics (Honours) at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Himanshi is yet to decide which subject to pursue at under graduate level. Namita and Vishakha scored 96.6% in Class 12 results.
“We were expecting good scores, but securing top positions was something unimaginable,” said Namita and Vishakha, who were studying in Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya in Dwarka and Paschim Vihar respectively.
Riya Sharma, Delhi topper in Humanities stream, also wants to pursue English (Honours) from DU. A student of Springdales School, Pusa Road, Riya enjoys whatever she studies.
“For me study is an activity that I do creatively and that’s precisely my success mantra,” said Riya, who scored 97.6%.
Kshitij Jain from DPS, RK Puram, topper among schools in Delhi and NCR, scored 98% in Science. He is followed by Sachit Tandon from Amity International School, Mayur Vihar, Jatin Kishore from Birla Vidya Niketan, Pushp Vihar, Pankuri Dudani from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, all Science students, who scored 97.8% in English and best four subjects.
