Forms for admission to the first-ever four-year undergraduate programme at Delhi University will tentatively be out by June 5, the university announced on Monday.
According to a statement from the office of the Dean of Student’s Welfare, the common pre-admission forms or OMR will be available both offline and online with the registration process beginning tentatively on June 5.
In the new admission system, students will apply only to a course and not to different colleges. Their course preference and marks will reach all colleges that offer the course and the colleges will then use the data to declare cutoffs, according to DU vice-chancellor Dinesh Singh.
Offline forms will be available between 9 am and 1 pm at various admission information centres. The complete admission process schedule expected to come out soon.
The four-year undergraduate programme is supposed to impart interdisciplinary education to students and provide academic flexibility.
