Sunday’s Joint Entrance Examination (Main) paper contained errors that could cost students between eight and 20 marks, experts have claimed.

This is the first-level test for entry into the Indian Institutes of Technology, the National Institutes of Technology and other centrally-funded institutes for engineering aspirants.

Coaching centres pointed out at least eight marks worth of errors, and said the number could go as high as 20 marks. The exam-conducting body has so far denied all such claims.

Nine lakh students appeared for the JEE (Main), which has replaced the All India Engineering Entrance Exam.
