The team of physicians attending to Anna Hazare associates Arvind Kejriwal, Gopal Rai and Manish Sisodia, who have been on fast for the past nine days, said they needed immediate medical attention.
The physicians, however, expressed relief on Thursday as social activist Anna Hazare made a public announcement on calling off the fast on Friday.
A doctor of the state-run Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital said the announcement came at the right time.
He said the condition of Rai was especially critical as he had lost a lot of body fluid because of bouts of vomiting.
"They would need to be put on intravenous drip immediately after they break their fast."
