Software major Microsoft on Tuesday announced the availability of Office 365 for nonprofits and non governmental organisations (NGOs) through its software donation programme in India.

The donation is available on Tuesday in 41 countries including India, and will be provided in up to 90 countries by July 2014, it said in a release.

Nonprofits and NGOs, who meet the eligibility criteria, will be able to access Microsoft's up-to-date Office cloud service, it added.

Microsoft's donation of Office 365 for nonprofits is part of its community support. In fiscal year 2013, Microsoft donated $795 million (Fair Market Value) in cash, software and services to 70,286 nonprofits in more than 115 countries around the world, it said.
