A 17-year-old girl, employed as a domestic help at a southeast Delhi locality, was allegedly drugged before being gang raped by two drunken men on Monday evening, police said.
According to the police, the incident took place at Jamia Nagar's Batla House area when the victim went to the accused duo's rented accommodation on the invitation of one of her female neighbours.
"The victim works as a housemaid at some adjoining houses in the area and stays nearby. The woman who apparently lured her to the house where she was sexually assaulted is also a domestic help," said an officer.
According to her complaint, police said, the accused neighbour told her that she was going for a party at a nearby house where two of her male friends would be present.
She accompanied her to the house where, according to her complaint, she was served some tea laced with sedatives.
As she began to lose consciousness, the two men allegedly forced themselves on her after dragging her to an adjoining room.
"As she slipped in and out of consciousness, she has stated in her complaint, they took turns to rape her before dumping near her house and fleeing. She approached us soon after the incident and was rushed to a hospital where a medical check-up confirmed sexual assault," the officer said.
A case of gang rape has been registered at the Jamia Nagar police station.
The woman who apparently lured her to the house where she was raped has been detained for questioning.
