Soon there will be a museum highlighting sewage and water-related issues that keep the Yamuna dirty.

The Delhi Jal Board has signed a pact with National Science Centre (NSC), Delhi, for the development of a Water and Wastewater Museum. Spread over 200 sq metres, the museum will be set up inside the premises of the NSC which attracts a footfall of over 4,50,000 visitors annually

On Thursday, the government kickstarted a vital component of the Yamuna Action Plan-II: awareness and education about Yamuna clean-up. The museum is part of that.

It has hired six NGOs to do the job and have been given contact points in several such colonies to kickstart the project, said water officials.
