In the wake of the rape of a student at a school in Mangolpuri, the North Corporation has decided to hold a two-day seminar for making its school principals more sensitive towards students’ security.
“The education committee will hold the seminar on March 6 and 7,” said education committee chairman, Rekha Gupta.
The municipal body has also formed a sub-committee to prepare a list of schools that need new buildings. The decision to form a three-member committee comes in the wake of complaints that while some schools lack infrastructure, others are getting additional buildings despite no such need.
“Several councillors have complained about the imbalance in development of school infrastructure,” said Mahendra Nagpal, leader of House in North Corporation. htc
