“The fast has ended but not the agitation,” declared yoga guru Ramdev on Tuesday as he ended his five-day fast with a distinct anti-Congress tone at Ambedkar Stadium amid a sea of supporters.

Ramdev announced that he will not organise any big agitation till next Lok Sabha polls and he would now engage in "constructive works and services".

During his long speech, Ramdev also boasted that his agitation had been a success. "We were able to bring on board all political parties on the issue of black money. Congress has been isolated."

He also asked his supporters to take a pledge to ensure that not a single leader of the "corrupt Congress" would be elected to Parliament.

"If we wanted, we could have stopped the Prime Minister from hoisting the tri-colour at Red Fort," he claimed.

BJP MP Ram Jethmalani also spoke before Ramdev broke his fast. Ramdev said he would be heading straight to Haridwar and asked his supporters to peacefully leave the venue. The proceedings ended with a rendition of Vande Mataram.
