Customs officials at the Delhi airport's cargo terminal have seized 10kg drug, which was to be couriered to Afghanistan and London.
Sources said the consignment was packed in flower pots and had been sent from different parts of the country.
"The sender has declared the items as flower pots, but we had our doubts. We opened the consignment and found that drugs had been wrapped around them. The drug was tested and 9kg hashish and 1kg heroin was seized from four different consignments," a customs department official, who requested anonymity, said.
Sources said that teams have been sent to the sender's address.
"One of the consignments was sent from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. We believed there is a link among four consignments. The investigations are on and a case under the customs act has been registered," the official added.
The discovery by the customs officials comes only days after a student on way to Malaysia was held with 2.9kg amphetamine. The consignment was valued at more than Rs 16 crore.
