A day after the payment gateway started functioning, those who attempted to submit online applications for Delhi University (DU) encountered another technical glitch.

Students claimed that the course options they had selected mysteriously disappeared from the final form.

“My cousin from Bhopal said that the final form did not show the courses he had selected. And this happened after he made the payment. This means that he has submitted a blank form,” said Akshit Modi, who had to go to DU to pick up a form for his cousin.

“A constant glitch in the online system is very inconvenient, since a lot of outstation students don’t have the option of filling up a physical OMR form,” Modi added.

Delhi University officials said that a notification was now warning applicants to check the form before submitting it.

“We have got a few complaints and are looking into it. Students have complained that they are not being able to save the page on which they have filled in the courses. We are now changing the system so that students get a notification to save or cancel the page before they submit the form,” said a senior Delhi University official.

Officials said that more often than not, students forgot to check whether their options had been saved, and proceeded to the payment gateway.

“Students do not save the page that contains the course options, because of which their choices do not appear on the form once they have submitted it. Students need to press the ‘OK’ button instead of leaving the page without saving it. If it is not saved, then they end up submitting a blank application form,” the Delhi University official added.
