Virbhadra Singh, chief minister designate of Himachal Pradesh, arrived in Delhi on Wednesday to meet party president Sonia Gandhi and discuss cabinet formation in the state where the party has defeated the ruling BJP in the assembly polls. A state government release quoting singh said there would be a two-tier ministry and some of the ministers would be sworn in along with him tomorrow.
The ministry would be expanded further after the budget session, he said, adding that all sections and categories like women and youth would be given representation in the ministry.
Youths, particularly those who defeated BJP stalwarts, would be given representation in his ministry, he said.
On corruption charges against the former chief minister PK Dhumal, Singh said that all the corruption cases would be fully investigated but clarified that there would be no "witch hunting".
Singh said that since fighting corruption was the main poll plank of the Congress party, he would provide a transparent and clean adnministration.
Describing the Congress victory in the state as a victory of "good over evil", he said factionalism in the party has come to end.
