The presence of 'fast and furious' Shoaib Akhtar in Kolkata has sent not just the supporters of the local team into a tizzy but the excitement has also gripped cricket fans around the world.

The 32-year-old controversial fast bowler was finally allowed to play in the IPL after an appellate tribunal suspended for a month his five-year ban by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The Rawalpindi Express comes with his own set of attitudes, his spectacular pace and his aggressive on-field demeanor, and Netizens feel that his presence will enhance the already-spilling glamour quotient on the field.

The most common sentiment among Net surfers is that even though ILP has a list of Who's Who of world-class players, Shoaib will still add that extra spark to the tournament.

"It will definitely add some fireworks. He is a showman who loves the limelight, so it should be more exciting for the team. We should all remember that IPL is sheer entertainment," said Chand Pretum, an avid surfer.

"Shoaib will definitely add glamour to IPL because he is a good bowler. It was his bad luck that time was not with him but since he is good player, he will try his best to prove that he is indeed one of the best fast bowlers in the world even today," said Ajay Tamang, another Netizen.

"He is the greatest fast bowler the world ever had with a speed of 100 mph that no one had before. This will add extra flavour in IPL," added Imtiaz Javed.

Fans of the Kolkata team especially have a lot to cheer about now that the pacer is raring to go out and take on the opponents.

"He will definitely add more glamour to Kolkata team, after their four consecutive failures. He will bring the crowds back to the stadiums," said Masoom Latif. "Hopefully he will perform well and stay out of further controversies," he added.

But keeping Shoaib's past record in mind, the fans will just have to wait and watch if the mercurial player will stop courting controversies after all.
