India take on England in an ODI at the Wankhede Stadium after almost 10 years.

When India played England the last time here, the series hung in balance at 3-2. Now, India have have already wrapped up the series with two games still left. I am never a fan of comparing teams or players of different eras but that England team had a bit more experience than the current lot.

Low on Morale On Sunday, India will play an English team that is low on confidence and the Englishmen have to do improve a lot to beat the hosts. They played well at Mohali but they lacked intensity and the knock-out punch in crunch situations.

The pressure on them was apparent when Kieswetter kicked the stump while collecting a throw from the deep and gave Jadeja a life.

The dew could also have been a factor for them in the evening while bowling and they will face similar situation in Mumbai and Kolkata. But then, do they have the faith in them to chase three hundred in the evening under lights? Because if Alastair Cook puts India in, his bowlers are not good enough to stop Indian batsmen in these conditions.

What was heartening to see was the batting effort of the English team that allowed them to get to 298. They could have got a few runs more than what they got had Trot accelerated a bit more at the end.

Call bell
Also what England desperately need is the class of Ian Bell.

The Wankhede track will have more carry than the previous three and the English bowlers will try and utilise that advantage, as they need to pick wickets to stop Indian batting.

India will be without Umesh Yadav. He bowled well in the three games, which bodes for Indian cricket especially in view of the upcoming tour to Australia. He swung the ball at a decent pace and hope he can carry on the same in the future.
