Vice-Captain Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina are expected to gain useful match practice as their side Air India-Red set to take on BSNL in the opening game of the one-day tournament for the Sahara BCCI Corporate Tournament in Bangalore on Tuesday.
Yuvraj and Raina were part of the four-day
preparatory camp, which concluded on Sunday, for the coming tri-series in Sri Lanka followed by Champions Trophy in South Africa.
With the likes of Yuvraj, Raina, Irfan Pathan, Robin Uthappa and Naman Ojha in their ranks, Air India took a formidable side for the telecom men, led by Joginder Singh.
The day-night match will be staged at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which would also play host to the first semi-final on September five and final on September eight.
Twelve teams, split into four groups, feature in the tournament, to be played in Mohali, Vishakhapatnam and Dharamsala, besides Bangalore.
