Popstar Lady Gaga has irked even her die-hard fans by pretending to be murdered and eaten on stage by a psycho killer during her Manchester show, just hours after a spate of serial
killings rocked the region.
Thousands of fans and parents who had taken their children to the concert looked on as the 24-year old singer, who was dressed in a skimpy leather basque, was ambushed from behind by a man dressed in black, who then bit into her neck before fake blood spurted down the front of chest, Daily Mail online reported.
The scene on stage came just hours after cab driver Derrick Bird, 52, killed 12 in a gun rampage in Cumbria and just days after 'Crossbow Cannibal' suspect Stephen Griffiths, 40, was charged with murdering three prostitutes in Bradford.
"I was absolutely sickened at what I saw. We know Lady Gaga is not exactly mainstream performance for all the family but she really crossed the line this time," said a member of the audience who had brought along her 15-year-old daughter for the show.
Gaga whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, shocked the fans during the latest gig in her Monsters Ball world tour. She was engulfed by dancers playing crazed killers and appeared to be dying on stage covered in blood.
"It was extremely tasteless to see her pretend to be attacked in such a gory way. What happened in Bradford is very fresh in people's minds and given all the violence which happened in Cumbria just hours earlier, it was insensitive," said Lynn Costello of the organisation Mothers Against Violence.
Gaga also performed a fake blood-splattered routine at last year's MTV Video Music Awards when she opened her act with a chandelier crashing down on her before she launched into two of her top hits.
But then she pretended to stagger across the stage, fake blood dripping from her ribcage, before she dabbed at it, wiped it on her face and collapsed into a heap while a dancer wailed in agony and gently laid her down center stage.
