After a weak start, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex recovered by over 73 points in afternoon trade on Wednesday on emergence of buying by funds in blue-chip stocks.
The Sensex, which had lost 158 points in early trade, bounced back to gain 73.51 points at 15,624.70 at 1230 hrs
with heavy-weights led by Infosys Technologies recording substantial gains.
The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 25.10 points at 4,650.45 at the same time.
