Bigg Boss III, who voted her mother, Jaya Sawant, out of the show on
Friday night.
“Woh battameez log hain, meri maa out gayi hai. They have used a boodhi aurat. My mother is a simpleton and wasn’t giving them any masala, so they threw her out. Why should I react against them and increase their TRPs?” she retorts.
Upset by the way her mother was treated on the show, she says, “I felt very bad that Raju Shrivastava and others spoke like that. Don’t they have mothers? Inki apni maayein nahin hain kya? Will they abuse their own mother and call her Hidimba and all that?
It’s not just her mother, Rakhi says she feels even fiance Elesh Parujanwala used her. “Definitely, usne mujhe use kiya hai. Frankly speaking, he didn’t come all the way from Canada to get married. He came here just for publicity. Use apna acting institute establish karna tha, vo isliye yahan aaya tha.” She says his friends advised him to come on the Rakhi show as that would get him publicity.
Angry at Elesh for his lack of support during the show Pati Patni aur Woh, where the couple had to look after a toddler, Rakhi says they don’t belong together. “Uska Western culture hai, mera Indian culture aur kahin se bhi hum ek saath nahi reh sakte, match nahi karte,” she says, adding that she’s “thankful to Jejus” that she got a chance to see his true colours within a month.
“Main zyada nahi bolungi, warna log kahenge, ‘Rakhi is a motor mouth’, it hurts yaar. Elesh ki family ne mere best friends ko mere baare mein kya nahi kaha. TV pe sab support kartein hain, camera ke peechhe dekhiye kya kya bola... Mera to dil hi tod diya...,” she signs off.
