Satya Paul WIFW show: safety pins and a too-hot iron

From lipsticks, table fans and the Nandi bull to retro phone booths — a jungle of prints made up the audiences, as designer Masaba Gupta's ramp readied for yet another print-heavy show. Label Satya Paul, helmed by Gupta, further indulged in separates and dresses, apart from their signature saris.

Designer Rahul Mishra showed showcased his collection on Day 2 of the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The designer showed a signature muted palette with focus on intricate and painstakingly delicate detailing, all hand-crafted and handwoven.

Bhushan and Barve WIFW show: industrial chic and fashion warriors

Designers Anand Bhushan and Nachiket Barve showed their collections on Day 2 of the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.While Barve was taking inspiration from the ancient Maori warrior tribe, Maia; very futuristic collection of Bhushan comprised clean silhouettes engineered with wire-mesh like cutouts.

WIFW: playful silhouettes, richly gilded necklines ruled Tarun Tahiliani show

A delicious blend of blacks, whites and beige were the mainstay of the designer’s autumn/winter 2014 collection at Wills India Fashion Week. Actor Shilpa Shetty too strutted down the catwalk amidst applause and hoots in a voluminous ghaghra skirt and off-shoulder cropped blouse.

Shantanu and Nikhil WIFW show: vintage whimsy

'Vintage rose' is what came to mind as designer Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra’s show took over the runway at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) on Day 1. Blush pinks, somber salmons, oxblood and ivories — the mood was romantic as the collection, ‘The Shadows Within’ hit the ramp.

Anupama Dayal, Vineet Bahl WIFW shows: more bridalwear for fall/winter

The second showcase of Day1, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, saw creations by designers Anupama Dayal and Vineet Bahl. While Anupama Dayal was inspired by Vatsyayana’s Kamasutra and had a signature use of bright hues,  Vineet Bahl used handloom fabrics.

Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Raakesh Agarvwal WIFW shows: dreamy divas and the dominatrix

The third showcase of Day1, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, saw creations by designers Kiran Uttam Ghosh and Raakesh Agarvwal. Muted tones, rose golds and layering stood out at Ghosh’s show, while Agarvwal's collection seemed to be a dominatrix, leather and chainmail laden tribute to design.
