  Dear surfer,
This is a sequel to last year's public probe that HindustanTimes.com launched to unravel the mystery of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's disappearance in 1945.
Though the 2001 probe concluded beyond reasonable doubt that the leader had not died in the plane crash, no answer could be found to surfers' question on his fate beyond August 18, 1945. more...
Subhas Bose Probe: Phase I
These are findings of the first-ever public probe on Internet. Besides indictating that Subhas Bose did not die in the air crash on August 18, 1945, they also throw up pointers to the conspiracies that dogged the great leader during the dying days of World War II.

Secret and sensitive documents from Indian and foreign intelligence offices throw fierce light on cases relating to Netaji's disappearance.

Security drill preceded interview with Bhagwanji

Anuj Dhar

A resume of revolutionary Anil Das sent to Bhagwanji in 1964 with Leela Roy's approval, reflects:
The security drill that preceded every request for an interview with Bhagwanji, and
The link between Netaji and Bhagwanji.

Anil Das was engaged in Netaji's work in South-East Asia when the Indian National Army mounted the "Dilli Chalo" operation.

In the resume, Das, while recalling his past activities, says, "On the night before he left Bangkok, Netaji took individual interviews of many people. I was one of them... Netaji said that wherever he may be, he would remain in contact with us over wireless. When we heard the news of Netaji's plane crash, I knew that it would not be true."

After scrutinising the letter, it is learnt that Bhagwanji allowed Anil Das to visit him in Neemsar. Here Das wrote another letter in which he details how he went underground after having received wireless sets, revolvers, pistols and sten guns from the Hikari Kikan (the Japanese military wing that liaised with the INA). Among others people, he refers to Debnath Das, member of the Azad Hind Government's cabinet, who was one of last people to see Netaji alive on August 17, 1945 - a few hours before the plane crash.
