A page from thesis written in Kabul after escape from India (1941)

Historical Context: This is part of a thesis he wrote when he was hold-up in a house in Kabul waiting for an Italian visa for travel to Europe through the former Soviet Union. It was probably written in the second half of February and the first fortnight of March 1941. It was largely devoted to explaining the functions and the justification of the new political body, Forward Bloc that he had announced in May 1941. The whole thesis was devoted to what the Congress Left Wing should be doing to accelerate the nationalist movement for independence during the Second World War and the steps the Forward Bloc should be taking for post independence reconstruction of Indian society, economy and polity.
