Current Findings :
April 24 - May 1, 2002

  Dear surfer,
This is a sequel to last year's public probe that HindustanTimes.com launched to unravel the mystery of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's disappearance in 1945.
Though the 2001 probe concluded beyond reasonable doubt that the leader had not died in the plane crash, no answer could be found to surfers' question on his fate beyond August 18, 1945. more...
Subhas Bose Probe: Phase I
These are findings of the first-ever public probe on Internet. Besides indictating that Subhas Bose did not die in the air crash on August 18, 1945, they also throw up pointers to the conspiracies that dogged the great leader during the dying days of World War II.

Secret and sensitive documents from Indian and foreign intelligence offices throw fierce light on cases relating to Netaji's disappearance.

Dear surfers,

We seek your leave to end another phase of the probe into Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's disappearance. The phase centred on a late hermit, 'Bhagwanji' of Faizabad, who looked, spoke, wrote and behaved like Netaji.

We brought out many facets of the hermit's life for you, and they include the following:

UP hermit, Netaji too similar
UP hermit given secret funeral
Netaji's friend, aides recognised 'UP hermit'
Bose's brother, aides among Bhagwanji's informants
Bhagwanji insisted on security drill
"I am Subhas Bose"
Air crash debunked

From your response, we found that your guesses and inferences (based on your response) are as good as ours.

However, as journalists our work ends when we have reported the matter. In discovering and introducing the hermit we have done just that. Now, it is for the Commission of Inquiry to evaluate the findings and pass a judgement on them. The probe, nevertheless, does not end here. we request you to be back with us when we are ready to report on the matters that currently beg for explanation. They include an answer to the vital question: Why was Netaji in hiding?

We have answers to this and other related questions. These answers, the way they are, can adversely affect our history and some of our celebrated reverends.

We need more time to scrutinize them. Till then, please bear with us...
