| Yes if every earning indivual ,specially our business men, pay their fair share of taxes.A little less corruption by all concerned, would also lead to some surplus with the government to spend on civic services |

| I think the best investment Mumbai can make is to ban immigrant population moving in unless they have a gurranteed job or have a quota system....much like the work permit system they have in various foriegn countries....however its a eutopian wish given the politicians need for this votebank...... much like Mumbai's dream of becoming like Shanghai |

| Its nice to see future of Mumbai presentated by this Paper. Its a superb step to make the people of mumbai realise about its development. But I request you to not only highlight the condition of drains, roads etc but also to do a step ahead.i.e for eg About Drains. I live in Tilak Nagar, Chembur. There is a famous Nullah called the "Somaiya Nullah" which gets floody every monsoon. The BMC looks at it only a few days before the monsoon to clean it. Instead they should make cover above it. The condition of this nullah is horrible throughout the year. This nullah is very big. Its hazards are spoken only of certain areas. Whereas there are other areas also which are worst affected by it. We are not staying here in the building. We stay on Groundfloor. The BMC doesn't allow us to increase the level of our Ground. It asks for huge amounts of money to do so. As you stated in an earlier edtion about the vertical limit, we are facing the same problem. Every year, rainwater comes inside our house. But no one cares for it. I request you take some initiatives to solve this problem. You can also print about the Work YOU have done to bring about the bright future of Mumbai. |

| Car owners must form a group of four and share the car on everyday basis on a rotation basis to go office or business work, which may result in fewer cars on the road, which will reduce the parking problem. |

| This is a question to the editors of this series and Hindustan Times.
What is going to happen with this series?
Are you guys planning on making some action point and pursue further action?
What sort of results you are expecting from this or is this just going to be filed under your websites?
Thank you. |

| WE WILL FLOW WITH THE FLOOD WATERS OF MUMBAI'S DRAINS AND RAINS TO REACH THE SURFACE THE OCEAN OF CONFUSIONS IN TOWN PLANNING AND EXPANSIVE DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT ADEQUATE INFRASTRUCUTRE FOR THE EVER-GROWING FLOATING POPULATION OF OVER 1 MILLION A MONTH. |

| If everyone can pitch in to make sure the drains don't get clogged and bogged down with trashes and utilise them as public toilets together coupled with relocating the massive proportion of slum dwellers, I guess we can see the light after the tunnel. Needless to say the massive migration who are flocking from all parts of Bharat to make a mere living in Mumbai, itself is depleting the limited resources in terms of space and dwelling. This is a one time massive project, and if all the heads are put together without any infusion for deceit and profit mongering, I guess it is safe to say we have hope. If Mumbai wants to glitter in terms of economic prosperity and wants to flex global presence, it must pay careful attention to details and not get swayed with mere talks. |

| The government and the city authorities must impose
warning tickets and fines to discipline our citizen's. This could be a current education to start with, to see the result of well behaved pedestrians. In Singapore they charge 300 to 500 Singapore dollars if anyone litters the street, or for red-light crossing. Education at school level and while applying for drivers license, classes could be given to youths and adults. Education through TV broadcasting. Roads must be broadened and stringent traffic rules must be applied to avoid road blocks. Underground pipes for sewage and water drainage to avoid flooding the roads must be established. All pot holes must be repaired with a permanent fix in mind.
A well designed, highly secured drainage system must be built. Road works and repairs and cable works and pie works near the roads must meet the scheduled deadline and should not cause a havoc for traffic and pedestrians. All hawkers and salesmen please keep out of the road, and choose legally paid designated shopping centres. Shopping malls need to be built. Public restrooms and phone and drinking water systems at every designated location. Clean parks and gardens. Proper lightings and security system. Clean toilets and clean roads with no stagnant water, I thing this is a vision for Mumbai.
I think some corrupt politicians could help reach out for this project with their huge bank account.
God bless Mumbai and other cities. |

| If we start caring, then automatically all goes in right way. And also our stupid politicians ..they just try to fill their belly thats it..
Anyway can I say that please try to find mistakes in ourself rather than pointing out to others.. and try to make India a clean country.. |
