What is the Aviva - Great Wall of Education initiative presented by Hindustan Times?
This is the biggest ever Book Donation drive to build the world's greatest wall of old books, which will be donated to Save the Children, to educate thousands of underprivileged children. Anyone can come and donate books on the Book Wall for the children.
Aviva has a global charity initiative 'Street to School' to provide education to the underprivileged children. This is in partnership with CRY and Save the Children India. The Corporate Responsibility (CR) program's objective is to provide education to 50,000 underprivileged children over the next 3 years.

We have chosen Aviva as our partner for this cause because the brand believes 'Education is Insurance'. In addition to helping parents secure their children's education through their financial solutions, Aviva has launched the global charity initiative - Aviva Street to School to provide education to the underprivileged children. Why are you doing this activity in this period?
Using the symbolism of National Education Day (November 11, Maulana Abdul Kalam's Birthday) and Children's Day (November 14), we are inviting the citizens of Delhi NCR to join us in building the world's greatest wall of old books, which will be donated to Save the Children, to educate thousands of underprivileged children
Who will receive these books?
Hindustan Times and Aviva will present these books in a ceremony to our charity partner - Save the Children on November 16. The NGO will use these books for children attending their programmes in various parts of the country.
What kind of books can I donate?
You can donate story books, syllabus books, blank note books, alphabet books (in any language) or magazines. Please ensure that books you donate are in a usable condition.
When and where can I donate my books?
The Book Wall will be at Ansal Plaza Amphi Theatre, Khel Gaon Marg. You could walk up to the Book Wall and place your books. You can also go to the nearest drop box. Click here to view the list.
The activity will be on from 11th - 15th November between 9:00 am - 8:00 pm at any of the above mentioned collection centres.

Are there any schools participating in the initiative?
Around 300 schools from across Delhi and NCR are participating in the event. Collection boxes are available at all of these schools for students to drop in old books. Click here to view the list
Who are the partners for the event?
This event is presented by Hindustan Times. The primary sponsor is Aviva Life Insurance. Other sponsors are Radio Fever, Hindustan, Frontline Papers (Handmade).
What will happen to the books that may not be of use to these children?
We will be sorting the books as per NGO's requirement. The one's that are not of any use to the younger children will be recycled into drawing books by our recycling partner - Frontline Papers. They are among the leading manufacturers of Handmade paper in the country.
