Indian brain hits the board

Who says boardroom talk of world's biggies is a prerogative of the occidental grey matter. Indians now have clinched top positions at the boards of many a global companies.

Some of the big shots are Vyomesh Joshi, the high profile head of printer business in Hewlett Packard who is part of the Yahoo board; Goldman Sachs Partners' Sanjeev Mehra, who sits on the BurgerKing board, Intel Capital's Arvind Sodhani, who is on the Nasdaq board, and Pepsi's Indra Nooyi, who graces the boards of Pepsi and Motorola.

And if you thought only the US-based Indians took the cake, here's more. Our very own Deepak Parekh, Chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) is on the board of Singapore-based telecom company Singtel, besides performing directorial duties in many Indian companies. Cheers to Indian managerial skills.
