A son didn't take even a month to forget his father's death. Yes, we are talking about Rahul Mahajan, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, who was hospitalised in a critical condition following an overdose of cocaine.

Pramod Mahajan, minister in the NDA government, was fatally shot on April 22 by his younger brother over "personal differences". Barely a month later, Rahul almost died of drug overdose while partying with his dad's personal secretary Vivek Moitra, who was not as lucky as Rahul.

Moitra, who had spent the evening with Rahul, was brought dead to the hospital. There were four others present with them on that fateful night who had supplied the cocaine to Rahul.

Fresh controversy erupted when Rahul's uncle and senior BJP senior leader Gopinath Munde went on record to allege that his nephew had been poisoned. Barely was the twin-tragedy flashed on television and the matter of Rahul's induction into the party doing rounds, than it was unofficially hinted that Pramod Mahajan's son had paid the price for a daring lifestyle that brought his father to ruin.

Whatever people say, but it is truly a matter of dishonour for the country as a whole.
