Britney Spears, Kevin Federline call it quits: Pop princess Britney Spears stunned everyone by filing for divorce from Kevin Federline this November, citing "irreconcilable differences". Britney apparently took the SMS mode to dump her hubby while he was shooting for a TV show. The diva reportedly filed for divorce on November 7, 2006.

Split bug bites Paul McCartney, Heather Mills: Paul McCartney and his second wife, ex-model Heather Mills, announced their separation on May 17, ending an almost four-year marriage and blaming others - namely the media's invasion of their lives.

Jenifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn bonding ends: Jennifer Aniston's second shot in love too, failed to materialise.

A People magazine report qouted the couple's reps confirming their split on December 5, 2006.

Surprisingly, Jennifer reportedly sought ex-beau Brad Pitt's help to help her overcome the post-split trauma. Not to forget Vince Vaughn's film The Break-Up in which Vaughn himself and Aniston formed the lead pair.
