Sania Mirza, Osama bin Laden, Salman Rushdie, Taslima Nasreen and Isioma Daniel. What's common between these personalities? It's not just the name and the fame. The more horrifying commonality is that all of them have fatwas issued against them.

Salman Rushdie has had a fatwa against him for the past 16 years. Taslima is a self-exiled Bangladeshi writer, who could have been hanged if she would have stayed in her country longer. Isioma Daniel, the Nigerian writer, has been slamped with the decree for alleged blasphemy.
