BOLLYWOOD BEAUTIES: WHEN HAIR MAKES HEADLINES
Akash Arora (HT City)

In the middle of a fashion week full of serious shows, a show with vintage Bollywood jhatkas was bound to be a hit. Little wonder the "Sunsilk - Style of the Silver Screen" show featuring Indian models flaunting hairstyles worn by Bollywood icons drew the greatest applause. And with Sajid Khan playing the compere, the going couldn't have gotten better.

The show began with model Pallavi, wearing Mumtaz's famous bouffant, walking the ramp on the Yeh hai reshmi zulfon ka…number. Following her was model-cum-dancer Gaisil gyrating on Helen's O haseena zulfon wali…song. Then came models Shruti, Sampada Inamdar and Apoorva Jha mastering the Sharmila gait. Jesse (this was the only time she was seen fully clothed in a saffron sarong and top), along with Tapur and Shamita relived Zeenat Aman's Hare Rama Hare Krishna spirit. And Nethra dressed and styled like Sridevi of Mr India delivered a lively Hawa hawai.

Tora Khasgir looked stunning in her Kareena outfit as she danced to You are my sonia. Then, Neeko presented Anjhula Singh, Diandra Soares, Tinu Vargese, Udita Goswami and Bhawna Sharma in hairstyles which will be the future of Bollywood. All an all, a fundoo show!
