48 LEADING MODELS TO WALK THE RAMP AT LAKME INDIA
FASHION WEEK 2002
The
arresting creations of the designers need the best of modelling
talent to present them. The business of fashion is incomplete
without them, they breathe life into the clothes, adding glamour
and charm to Lakme India Fashion Week. 48 leading Indian models
will bring alive the creations of Indias designer talent at
the Lakme India Fashion Week, 2002.
Displaying the Prêt-a-Porter (ready-to-wear)
and Diffusion (a line between ready-to-wear and couture/bridal)
collections of 53 designers, will be the following 48 models working
in three groups of 16: Sheetal Mallar, Aditi Gowitrikar, Jesse Randhawa,
Viveka Babajee, Nethra Raghuraman, Tapur Chaterjee, Diandra Soares,
Shivani Kapoor, Bhawna Sharma, Sampada Inamdar, Tinu Verghese, Michelle
Innes, Ayesha Prem, Poonam Nath, Shruti Sharma, Udita Gosawami,
Fleur Xavier, Nina Manuel, Vidisha Pavate, Yana Gupta, Tupur Chaterjee,
Kiran Rao, Shonali Rosario, Joey Matthews, Sapna Kumar, Indrani
Dasgupta, Laxmi Rana, Vandana Saras, Tina Chatwal, Neha Dhupia,
Shrishti, Bhavna Singh, Rahul Dev, Inder Mohan, Zulfi Sayeed, Rajiv
Singh, Tarun Arora, Ajay Balhara, Rajat Raina, Aditya Bal, Vijay
Balhara, Praveen Sirohi, Niketan Madhok, Shawar Ali, Vishal Singh,
Rajat Chanderlal, David Gaden and Rahul Bhasin.
The modelling talent at this years mega fashion showing,
said FDCI Executive Director, Vinod Kaul, matches the mix
of the designers showing. Many are well-known names and for
others its a launching pad towards fame. However, both are
equally professional and gifted, and we at FDCI would like to acknowledge
the hard work they will put into the week ahead and bring attention
to our designers creations.
