Mr. Francois Steiner Mr. Nicholas Coleridge

Mr. Nicholas Coleridge started as a trainee newspaper reporter in Falmouth, Cornwall, on the Falmouth Packet. He contributed a dozen articles to Harpers & Queen from the age of 17 to 22.

He was the Associate Editor of Tatler from 1979-82 (pre-Condé Nast ownership) during Tina Brown's explosive Editorship.

He then worked as a columnist for the Evening Standard from 1982-86 (Editor, Harpers & Queen 1986-89. He is currently the Editorial Director, Condé Nast, Managing Director, Condé Nast UK since 1991, Vice-President Condé Nast International since1999 and the chairman on PPA since 2004.

He also served as the Chairman, British Fashion Council 1999 – 2004, overseeing London Fashion Week.

He was Chairman, Fashion Rocks 2003, the rock and fashion event at the Royal Albert Hall which raised £1.3 million for the Prince's Trust.

He won the Mark Boxer Lifetime Achievement Award for Magazine Journalism 2003 and The Young Journalist of the Year, British Press Awards 1984.

He has authored ten books, including five bestsellers – The Fashion Conspiracy (1984), the No 1 UK Bestseller; Paper Tigers (1991) – his world tour of the planet's greatest newspaper proprietors; With Friends Like These (1997), Streetsmart (1994). Godchildren (2002) was No 2 in the London Fiction charts. His new novel, A Much Married Man, will be published in 2006.

Nicholas was born in 1957 and has four children aged 14 to 6 years old.
