Deposition on oath/affirmation of Smt. Dr.(Col.) Lakshmi Sehgal wife of Late Col. P.K. Sehgal residing at 15/241, Civil lines, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and aged about 86 years.

Ques 1. Col. Sehgal, you are already under oath to tell the truth, whole truth, nothing but truth, and not to conceal anything. Is it correct?
Ans. Yes.

Ques 2: Col. Sehgal, will you please state your full name, father's name, husband's name, your address and present occupation?
Ans.Col. Lakshmi Sehgal, wife of late Col. P.K. Sehgal, I am daughter of Late Dr. S. Swaminathan. My address is 15/241, Civil Lines, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. I am a medical practitioner.

Ques 3: What is your present age?
Ans. I am 86 years.

Ques 4: When and where did you first join the INA (Indian National Army) of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose? When was the Rani Jhansi Bahini formed?
Ans. - In 1943 at Singapore. Formation of the Rani Jhansi Regiment actually started in July 1943. The first training camp of the regiment was organised at Singapore in October, 1943.

Ques 5: What was your rank when you first joined the INA?
Ans. I was Captain.

Ques 6: What was your rank and position in the Rani Jhansi Bahini?
Ans. - I was the Commanding Officer of the Rani Jhansi Bahini (regiment).

Ques 7: When and where did you last see Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose?
Ans. In May 1945 I last saw Netaji at Kalaw in the Shanstate.

Ques 8: Did Netaji discuss with you or tell you then about his future plan of action? If so, what was that?
Ans. He did not discuss with me about his future plan of action when I last met him in May 1945. At the last Cabinet Meeting held at the end of March or in the beginning of April 1945 in which I was present as a member of the Cabinet he discussed about his future plan of action as it was then clear that the fall of Japan was imminent.

Ques 9: You were not present at the Taipei airport at or about the time of the alleged plane crash. Is it correct?
Ans. Yes, It is correct.

Ques 10: Did you ever visit the airport where the alleged plane crash took place? If so, when?
Ans. No.
