We start them young, don't we? Think back to all the times you let your 5-year-old 'go' behind the bushes or sometimes right in the middle of a market? Maybe if the children are reminded to treat the habit with disdain very early on and to realise that there is no situation that will allow it, then the habit will not find its despicable and disgusting realisation when they grow much older.

But why just kids, don't we adults walk past urinaters without so much so as lifting our heads? Would you react differently if a couple was having sex in a corner? 12% of the respondents to our survey said they didn't feel anything while peeing while 18% admitted to even enjoying it! Perhaps a stronger reaction on our parts is required to send this activity back where it belongs - in the loo.

Fashion has likewise designed men's apparel to let this ease be unhampered and unhindered. The fly is perhaps the greatest ally for the urinater. One swift movement and voila! The mouse is out of the house, spraying all and sundry.

So it is a collusion of nature and fashion that men are able to do this in public with greater convenience and flexibility.
