real life's most dramatic transformations, Rekha morphed from an overweight, dark ordinary girl into a glamorous and beautiful enigma, shrouding her life in an intriguing Garbo-like mystery.

Her obsession with Amitabh Bachchan,
who she refers to as 'Him', has filled the
pages of glossies over the decades.
How real is the supposed affair, is
anybody's guess.

The 70s saw her mostly cast as
the garishly made up 'other woman' but
she re-invented herself in the 80s with aesthetic films like Umrao Jaan.

Today she continues to act in films like Bhoot and Koi Mil Gaya and will next be seen with Mallika Sherawat in Bach Ke Rena Re Baba.
