The
ideal girl-next-door, Deepti Naval is a sensitive actor who has often
played the role of a woman realising her own identity.
Starting out in Ek Baar Phir as
a frustrated wife who has an affair to fulfil
the vaccum in her life, Deepti went on to do several critically acclaimed
roles like the tribal put in the spotlight in Kamla, Miss Chamko
in Chasme Baddoor and the rich-girl turned middle class, idealistic
wife
in Saath Saath.
Never really retiring from films, Deepti
has graduated to strong character roles
like the NRI mom in Leela.

Her pairing with Farouque Sheikh was extremely popular and together
they gave six hits, starting with the evergreen comedy Chashme
Baddoor.
