Veteran film and stage actress ROSEMARY HARRIS (Aunt May) returns to her role as Aunt May in Spider-Man 2, after having portrayed Peter Parker's beloved aunt in the recording-breaking film phenomenon Spider-Man.
Harris received an Academy Award® nomination for her performance in 1994's Tom and Viv opposite Willem Dafoe. More recently she portrayed the widowed matriarch Valerie in the critically acclaimed Sunshine with Ralph Fiennes. Harris first worked with director Sam Raimi in the supernatural thriller The Gift.
Harris is an eight-time Tony Award nominee for her theatre work, and she won a Tony in 1966 for her performance as Eleanor in A Lion in Winter on Broadway, opposite Robert Preston.
She received a Golden Globe award for her work in
television production of The Holocaust, and she was honored with an Emmy
Award for Notorious Woman-The Life of George Sand. an.
J.K. SIMMONS will reprise his role as
J. Jonah Jameson, the publisher of the Daily Bugle and Peter Parker's gruff
but kind- hearted boss. Simmons recently co-starred in The Mexican opposite
Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. He was also a regular on HBO's Oz. His other
credits include Sam Raimi's The Gift, Autumn in New York, Raimi's For Love
of the Game, The Jackal and Extreme Measures. Simmons can also be seen on
the hit TV series Law & Order as Dr. Emil Skoda.
