Gowariker, whose last film Lagaan stuck gold at box office, ia again trying his luck with Swades. And this time he is banking upon Shahrukh Khan. Will Shahrukh live up to the expectations has to be seen.

Swades is the first Indian film to be actually shot inside the NASA research center at the Launch Pad 39A of the Kennedy Space Center of NASA in Florida.

Gowariker shot the film in the NASA space center to make it more authentic. Shahrukh works on a rainfall monitoring satellite known as the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) in the film, which is lifted into an orbit aboard a Space Shuttle.
