Australian Open champion and number eight seed Thomas Johansson of Sweden was knocked out of the Wimbledon tennis championships here on Tuesday.

Brazil's Flavio Saretta won the first round encounter 6-7 (2/7), 6-4, 7-6 (7/4), 3-6, 12-10 and now faces German qualifier Alexander Waske.
