Rs 100 crore per year for City: Gaur

CHIEF MINISTER Babulal Gaur has said that the Rs 100 crore would be spent every year on the development of Bhopal city. He said that the State Government would provide all facilities to business events like Bhopal Utsav Mela. He was inaugurating the 14th Bhopal Utsav Mela here today. Gaur informed that a sum of Rs 5 crore would be spent in three months with the cooperation of traders on development of roads in Maharana Pratap Nagar commercial area.

He said that the process to strengthen infrastructure for economic development has started. Three thousand km roads would be constructed every year. Similarly, the process of transforming development scenario through Ayodhya Basti and Gokul Gram schemes has also begun.

BJP’s organising general secretary Kaptan Singh Solanki said that the government should play role of a catalyst in economic development of society. He said that the Bhopal Utsav Mela has been presenting a mini India in Bhopal. He hoped that the Bhopal would also be known by the Bhopal Utsav Mela.

Minister of State for Transport Umashankar Gupta and Bhopal Mayor Sunil Sood also spoke on the occasion.Bhopal Mela Utsav Samiti general secretary Vinod Agrawal read out progress report. He informed that assistance of Rs 1 lakh has been provided for the help to Tsunami-hit states. Samiti senior vice president Vinod Chand Bhandari gave a welcome speech. The Chief Minister announced to Rs 5000 prize for Akansha Jachak, who has figured in the Limca Book of Records for singing Lata Mangeshkar’s songs.
