HAMIDIA HOSPITAL has been provided with enhanced security arrangement from today onwards, in order to prevent incidents of fracas that were witnessed last year. The number of security guards has been increased to 101 while a pass system has been put in place for patients’ attendants.

“Only one attendant, bearing a valid pass, would be allowed to stay with the admitted patients,’’ hospital superintendent Dr S C Tiwari told Hindustan Times. He added four security guards would be on duty in the hospital’s emergency ward to avoid any untoward incident.

Dr Tiwari said another 22 guards would be added to security in a month’s time.
