Lt Gen Vasudeva visits Ordnance Depot Fort

LT GENERAL Ashok Vasudeva, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Staff, HQ Central Command, Lucknow, visited Ordnance Depot, Fort Allahabad on Saturday. He was received by Colonel JP Tiwari, Commandant, Ordnance Depot Fort who introduced him to all officers.

He visited the Commandant’s office where he was briefed about the administrative and technical functioning of the Ordnance Depot Fort and its operational role in terms of Ordnance support to various units of the Central Army. He also visited the motivation hall and health club in the unit lines and appreciated the hard work put in by the unit. He visited store houses and expressed satisfaction at the level of technical competence and logistics support being rendered by the depot to the dependent units.

Laparoscopic workshop
A LAPAROSCOPIC workshop-cum-CME programme was held at Military Hospital, Allahabad on February 21 and 23. The workshop was conducted by Dr Probal Neogi, Assistant Professor of Surgery, Motilal Nehru Medical College, Col R Prajabasi, classified specialist (surgery) of MH Allahabad, Dr Vikram Agarwal, surgeon, Jagriti Hospital and Lt Col RK Singh, classified specialist (Anaesthesiology) of Military Hospital, Allahabad.

Colonel PS Bhalla, Commanding Officer, MH, Allahabad stressed the importance of keeping abreast of technological advances by the AMC and bringing its benefits to the patients of the Armed Forces.

A video demonstration of the surgery was also organized, attended by all the doctors of the armed forces posted in Allahabad and a number of doctors from MLN Medical College, Allahabad.
