Varun’s father was in Jaipur when the incident took place. Rajesh Srivastava, a friend of Varun’s father, said the incident took place around 9 pm on Wednesday when Varun had gone to Aditya Mega City apartments to meet his ex-girlfriend who stays on the 11th floor.

“A few weeks ago, she broke up with Varun. When I called him around 7 pm on Wednesday, Varun told me that he was at the girl’s place.” .
