The BJP candidates have incurred highest poll expenditure in Noida and Jewar assembly segments as per the spending details submitted by candidates.
Candidates of the main political parties in Jewar segment have accepted the expenditure amount of shadow register maintained by the election expenditure monitoring committee. However, Noida and Dadri candidates have not accepted the shadow register amount as there is a difference between the expenditure submitted by them and the shadow register amount.
“A shadow register is maintained on the basis of information provided by videography team and other teams. We tally the candidate’s expenditure with shadow register and take the highest amount as his expenditure,” Nijlingappa, district treasury officer and local head, expenditure monitoring committee, said on Friday.
In Noida, the BJP candidate has spent the maximum amount. BJP candidate Pankaj Singh has shown an expenditure of Rs 7,00,205 while the shadow register amount is Rs 8,94,379. BSP candidate Ravikant Mishra has submitted expenditure of Rs 1,62,413 while the shadow register amount shows Rs 3,59,904. Samajwadi Party candidate Sunil Choudhary has shown expenditure of Rs.88,000 in the first list submitted by him on February 1. He has not submitted the second expenditure list that was to be tabled on February 5. The third expenditure list was to be submitted on February 9 and it is being examined, the official said.
“Candidates have submitted their third expenditure list on Thursday. It is being verified with the shadow register. Notices are being issued to those who have not submitted the list,” Nijlingappa said.
In Jewar, the BJP candidate has spent the most. In two expenditure statements submitted, Kamal Sharma of the RLD has shown expenditure of Rs 2,65,000, Dhirendra Singh of the BJP has shown spending of Rs 6,85,266 and Narinder Nagar of the SP has shown expenses of Rs 3,53,625.
In Dadri, the Congress candidate tops the list. Samir Bhati of the Congress has shown expenditure of Rs.7,60,420 and his shadow register amount is Rs 8,87,380. The expenditure shown by Ravinder Bhati of the RLD candidate was Rs.3,91,420 and the shadow register the amount comes to Rs 5,631,00. BJP candidate Tejpal Nagar has shown expenditure of Rs 4,40,773 and the shadow register amount is Rs 7,10,200. BSP candidate Satvir Gurjar has shown expenditure of Rs. 4,89,817 and the shadow register amount is Rs 812117.
