Car overturns on MP-2 elevated road in Noida
It is the second such incident on the 4.8 km long elevated road after its inaugural in the last week of June.
A speeding car overturned on Master Plan-II elevated road, affecting the traffic movement on the corridor for a brief period on Friday morning.
The car was travelling towards Sector 62 from Atta Chowk and overturned near Iskcon temple when the driver lost control over the vehicle after its front tyre got burst.
However,the driver of the car escaped the accident unhurt.
According to the police, the accident took place at around 11:30 am. The vehicle overturned and came to a halt after hitting the divider. The traffic movement was disturbed for a while, but was restored immediately.
Umed Singh Yadav, the station house officer of Sector 24 police station said, “The car overturned because its front tyre on driver’s side bursted due to which he lost control over the vehicle.”

In the first accident, that took place just within a week after the road’s inaugural, an SUV rammed into a stationary truck.
The six-lane elevated road was constructed to ease traffic congestion for thousands of motorists travelling from Ghaziabad and Greater Noida to South Delhi through Noida. It also provides relief to residential areas in sectors 33, 23, 25, 27, 26, 28, 29 and 31, among others.
The 4.8km six-lane elevated road from Vishwa Bharti School in Sector 28 to Sector 61 over the existing Master Plan-2 Road bypasses seven intersections and has entry and exit points at Nithari, Sector 30, NTPC and Sector 24.
