Police arrested the domestic help of the prime suspect Pramod Kumar, who was is allegedly in a relationship with the woman Komal.

“The domestic help Salman was picked up and he revealed that both Pramod and Komal have allegedly eloped after poisoning her parents. We found the body and sent it for postmortem for further confirmation about the cause of death. Teams are sent to trace Pramod who is the prime suspect. Salman is also involved in the conspiracy and has been arrested,” Abhishek Kumar Yadav, superintendent of police (rural), said.

“Salman said the bodies were transported in a car and dumped near Jarcha canal,” he said.

Salman told police Komal’s parents were against the relationship of the duo as they were from different castes.

The whereabouts of Komal’s mother are still to be ascertained.

Sources said, Pramod was running an electrical goods’ shop and visited the woman’s house frequently.

“The younger brother of the woman, aged four, is also missing and suspected to be taken by Pramod to some place in Rajasthan. Their last location was in Rajasthan and could not be traced further,” a police officer said.

The officer said the last location was found at a ‘dharamshala’ at Balaji in Rajasthan where she was spotted in newly-wedded attire.
