The ambition of a 32-year-old man of contesting local body elections did not go down well with his friends. The three men allegedly subjected him to brutal and unnatural sex when he was inebriated and posted the videos of the incident on WhatsApp.

According to the police, the victim had told his friends about his plans to contest the elections but they were opposed to the idea and planned to defame him. On April 27, when the man’s wife and children were not at home, they brought liquor to his house and got him drunk.

“We suspect that it was a planned move by the three men who wanted to defame the victim. They brought drinks to his house and made him consume a large quantity of alcohol. They subjected him to unnatural sex acts with each of them and filmed it on their smartphones,” Anil Kumar Yadav, circle officer (Indirapuram), said.

“After filming the act, they put up the videos online. When one of these videos reached the victim, he approached the men. In turn, the three went to the police and told them that it consensual and the man was trying to implicate them,” Yadav said.

Later, the victim and the three men, aged between 22 and 25 years, were called by the police. During the inquiry, it was found that the man was victimised by the three men and an FIR under IPC sections of unnatural sex and under the IT Act was filed against the three at Khoda police station.

“The three men were arrested on April 29 and produced before the court,” Yadav said.
