Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu has advanced to the semifinal of the Thiahot China Open Super Series tournament in Fuzhao. PV Sindhu got the better of China’s He Bingjiao 22-20, 21-10 in 30 minutes.

It was match of two halves. Sindhu had to work very hard to win the opening game with the Chinese shuttler mounting a comeback every time she fell behind.
