Andhra Bank defeated a determined rival in Garhwal Heroes by a solitary goal in Delhi Soccer Association’s (DSA) Senior Division Football League.

The defending half’s of both teams showed resilience in the first half. Andhra Bank were reduced to 10 men when Tesram Singh was sent out in the 44th minute but the team was able to break the deadlock when Satbir Singh flicked one in the net off Imanish Thapa’s corner kick in the 51st minute.

The win gave Andhra Bank a crucial 3-point leverage and the club now has 13 points from 8 games.

In the other match of the day, Youngmen Sports Club annihilated Mughals Sporting Club by a whopping 4 goals.
